The Showcase KL transit tour programme will give you a sneak preview of the city’s attractions. The package includes a return KLIA Ekspres ride into the city and a tour on the KL Hop On Hop Off double deck bus. The bus route will take you past a number of attractions in the city, depending on your available time, you can alight for a while at any stop for a closer look.

TRANSIT VISA REQUIREMENTS

The transit visa is provided to foreign citizens carrying valid travel documents who are transiting at the KLIA on their way to another country. A single entry transit visa can be provided on the day of arrival subject to the following:
  • Possess a valid passport or travel documents that are not due to expire within 6 months.
  • Foreign passengers must arrive and depart from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
  • Foreign passengers possess confirmed flight ticket and valid travel documents to another country.
  • NOT be classified under Section 8 of Malaysia Immigration Act 1959/63 even though he/she is in possession of a valid passport or travel document, visa, travel ticket and sufficient funds.

SHOWCASE KL TRANSIT PACKAGE IN 10 EASY STEP




To take the Showcase KL transit tour, follow these 10 easy steps and refer them to the 2 flow maps.

STEP 01

Once you arrive at the Satellite Building proceed to the transfer counter. Complete the arrival card and get the transit pass. Then proceed to the Transit & Tours counter to purchase the Showcase KL Transit Package. You will then be given a button badge and a tour ticket which you must wear and bring with you on the tour.


STEP 02

Take the Aerotrain to the Main Terminal Building.


STEP 03

Once at the main Terminal Building, proceed to the immigration counter (either Lane 21 or Lane 22) for immigration clearance.


STEP 04

Proceed to baggage clearance – should you need to retrieve any baggage. KLIA Left Luggage counters located at Departure Hall level 5 and Arrival Hall level 3 at the Terminal building allows you to store your luggages.


STEP 05

Custom clearance.


STEP 06

At arrival hall, take the lift that is marked “KLIA Ekspres”. Go to level 1. Board the KLIA Ekspres train direct to KL Sentral. Your journey will take 28 minutes.


STEP 07

At KL Sentral, use the train ticket to exit the arrival gate. You will see the Showcase KL hospitality counter just after the arrival gate should you need further assistance.


STEP 08

Proceed to KL Sentral Station main entrance at level 2. Step outside and you will find the KL Hop On Hop Off bus stop. Wait for your bus, show your ticket and enjoy the tour.


STEP 09

Having enjoyed the city and arrived back at KL Sentral Station, please follow the directions to the KLIA Ekspres departure gates at Level 1. Use your ticket to board the train, which will take you direct to the airport.


STEP 10

Upon arriving at the airport, ensure that your boarding pass and passport are ready, take the lift to the departure hall on level 5. Check in your shopping items before proceeding to the immigration counter for clearance. The last step is to take the Aerotrain back to the Satellite Building for your departure.

KLIA EKSPRES

KLIA Ekspres is a premium non-stop high-speed train service that connects KLIA and the Kuala Lumpur city centre. Cruising at a top speed of 160 km/h, the journey takes just 28 minutes allowing you to relax or just enjoy fascinating sights along the way.

KL HOP ON HOP OFF

The KL Hop-On-Hop-Off city tour takes you on a round journey through the heart of the city with 22 stops at KL’s main attractions. KL is a shopping haven with facilities that range from deluxe shopping centres to bazaars and night markets offering a wide range of goods. Depending on what you are looking for, there are different shopping areas that you can go to.

Branded fashion clothing is one of KL's best shopping highlights, and the latest design wear can be found at shopping centres such as The Pavilion KL, Starhill Galleria (KL Hop-On-Hop-Off stop No. 6) and Suria KLCC (KL Hop-On-Hop-Off stop No. 22).

Electronic goods are priced very competitively in Malaysia. For the latest in technology and gadgets go to Low Yat Plaza which is located along Jalan Bukit Bintang (KL Hop-On-Hop-Off stop No. 6). Malls and shopping centres open daily from 10am till 10pm. For the bargain hunters, there are many night markets and bazaars that offer a whole range of items from souvenirs to handy craft to apparels and accessories. The most famous bazaars are at Petaling Street (KL Hop-On-Hop-Off stop No.8) and Jalan Masjid India (KL Hop-On-Hop-Off stop No.9).

KL Sentral

Located just 5 minutes walking distance from Brickfields (Little India), KL Sentral is the city’s rail hub that not only links all the light rail transit networks but is also the centre for the intercity trains.

Petronas Twin Towers

Any visit to KL must include the PETRONAS Twin Towers. Standing at 452meters above ground, they are the tallest twin towers in the world. The entire area includes The Suria KLCC shopping centre, the KLCC park, a state-of-the-art KL Convention Centre and Aquaria.

KL Tower

An icon of the city’s skyline, the KL Tower stands at 421meters high, making it the 4th tallest tower in the world. There is an observation deck that gives a 360 degree bird’s eye view of KL as well as a revolving restaurant on the top floor. At its base there are facilities for some adventurous activities including a high-ropes course, jungle walks and a mini zoo called the ‘Animal Zone’ (KL Hop-On-Hop-Off stop No. 2).

Bird Park

The KL Bird Park is the tallest walk-in free-flight aviary in the world and is home to over 200 species of birds. The star attractions at the park include ostriches, hornbills, eagles, flamingos, peacocks and parrots.
