KLIA



Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)  is Malaysia's main international airport and is also one of the major airports of South East Asia, giving it huge, even multinational, catchment area. It is about 60 kilometres (37 mi) from Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpur. The airport is in the Sepang district of southern Selangor state.

The airport can currently handle 40 million passengers and 1.2 million tonnes of cargo a year.  It was ranked the 14th busiest airport in the world by international passenger traffic, and is the 5th busiest international airport in Asia. It was ranked the 29th busiest airport by cargo traffic in 2010("30 Busiest Airport in the World". ACI Asia Pacific. 28 July 2009).

The airport is operated by Malaysia Airports (MAHB) Sepang Sdn Bhd and is the major hub of Malaysia Airlines, MASkargo, AirAsia, AirAsia X, and Department of Civil Aviation (DCA).

Transiting between KLIA and KLIA2
Passengers who have connecting flights between airlines operating from these two separate terminals may transfer between the same via shuttle buses for RM2.50. From the Main Terminal Building, these buses depart from the Bus Terminal on the Ground Floor of the Car Park C building. At the KLIA2, they can be found at the bus bays in front of the terminal.

KLIA Ekspres
This non-stop airport transfer takes you from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to the city (KL Sentral) in just 28 minutes. Trains depart every 20 minutes during off-peak hours and 15 minutes during peak hours. After midnight, departure intervals are 30 minutes apart.
A standard single trip costs RM35 (adult) and RM15 (child). For a return trip, the costs are RM70 (adult) and RM30 (child). If you are a frequent traveller, you can opt for the KILA Ekspres EasyCard. For more information, go to www.kliaekspres.com .

KLIA Transit
This commuter service between KLIA and KL Sentral makes three quick stops – at Salak Tinggi, Putrajaya & Cyberjaya and Bandar Tasik Selatan. Trains depart every 20 minutes during off-peak hours and 15 minutes during peak hours. After midnight, departure intervals are 30 minutes apart.

KLIA by Airport Coach
Busses are available from the Main Terminal (Airport Coach) and a ride on the Airport Coach costs RM 10.00, which departs from the Main Terminal on a 30-minute interval.
