Royal Selangor Club
The Royal Selangor Club was established in 1884 serving as a social and criket club for the growing expatriate community then. Located at Dataran Merdeka, the main building of the club is of a mock Tudor styling. It was nicknamed "The Spotted Dog" as two Dalmatians belonging to the wife of one of the club founders were left to guard the entrance of the club.
Today, the club is exclusively for members and has various sporting facilities, as well as food and beverage outlets
